Charitra Chudamani, ‘Sanyam Sumeru’, Pujya Gurudev Shri Mayaram Ji Maharaj was such a divine saint of India who is famous all over India for his special qualities like penance, sacrifice, restraint, meditation etc. Shri Mayaram Ji was born in Baroda village of Haryana. The Honor of being his parents was received by Numberdar Chahal gotra Jat Chaudhary Shri Jot Ram Ji and his wife Shobhavati on 12 June 1854. Shri Mayaram Ji’s elder brother was Shri Adaram Ji and younger brothers were Shri Sukhiram Ji and Shri Ramnath Ji. Mayaram was a child who never cried at birth. He was exceptionally handsome and graceful in his mind and demeanor. Naturally, he attracted everyone’s attention.

Renowned Jain monks Shri Gangaramji Maharaj and Shri Ratiramji Maharaj arrived in Baroda village. They observed the boy Mayaram through their astrological knowledge and discovered that he possessed an extraordinary personality. The Jain monks introduced Mayaram to him and encouraged him to pursue education. The monks took on the responsibility of educating him. Mayaramji gradually became adept at studies and religious meditation. He lost his parents at the early age of twelve, and just four years later, his elder brother Adaram became the village head at the age of sixteen. When the subject of marriage came up, Mayaramji, a scholar of renunciation and multilingual scholarship, flatly refused. His life had changed direction.
